VW Camper 151 May 2020
Campers, commercials and former commercials that are now campers all feature this month. A 1978 former Delivery Van is now resplendent in period pastels with a bright, uncluttered and modern camping interior; a T5.1 Panel Van has been given a Caravelle makeover using genuine NOS Caravelle seats and a factory folding circular table, whilst a T3 Panel Van which had been standing in a barn for around four years has been rescued, restored, and fitted with a Subaru engine and a bespoke interior.
If stock is your thing check out our 1963 Doka. Basically this is a stock, unmessed with bus with a host of original features and areas of original paint. Another mint stocker is the 1976 Dormobile D4/6 – which came with a lever arch full of paperwork from its order back in 1976. Finally this month is one of those buses that combines stock looks with custom modifications; a fully restored 1964 13 window Deluxe with a 1776cc motor, 2 inch narrowed CB performance adjustable front beam, 3.5 inch dropped spindles and a straight axle kit, it combines classic looks and street stance and style perfectly.
There may not be any shows taking place but people are staying safe, staying home and finding inventive new ways to keep in touch and share as in the T2OC virtual coffee morning and the Great British Campout. And to remind you of nice things you can do when this is all over we have a Road trip to Wolfsburg in a Split, and a tour round Europe in a Bay.
