VWBus T4&5+ Issue 70
A Maths Lesson
In this issue 3 x 5 = 15 and 3 x 4 = 12, but simple maths never tells the whole
story. The first equation doesn’t tell you for example that 1 x 5 = a Sulphur yellow
camper of the highest quality and the lowest ride. Or that another 1 x 5 = a self-built
home from home for a couple who quit their jobs and headed into Europe for 6
months. It doesn’t tell you that the final 1 x 5 = a chocolate coloured Caravelle with a
retro feel. (We’ve got this far with the whole maths thing, so we’ll push on.) The
second equation doesn’t even hint that 1 x 4 = an investment secured after a
property purchase fell through. Nor does the 2nd 1 x 4 = a suggestion of a candy
apple red camper from the top drawer. There isn’t a sum on earth that would tell you
that 1 x 4 = a shark themed bus that shouldn’t work, but it does, it really, really, does.
Multiply all this with x 2 show reports, a surfing trip to Biarritz, a How 2 on fitting a
sump guard, a Dub Club feature, a campsite review and x 3 columns + all the other
features x 6 new products x 4 Readers Rides, etc.
The conclusion to all this maths?
The magazine = something greater than the sum of its parts.
You should probably buy x1.
