100% Biker Issue 229

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR even if it is a few days late, and welcome to the first edition of 2018 of your favourite custom motorcycle magazine. We’ve already set the bar pretty high for the next eleven months to come…

We’re delighted to welcome to the cover Aled Corps’ beautiful little Norton, built by the young Welshman out of a box of bits. It’s no secret to say that, when we were judging Twisted Iron’s The Happening, we had a lot of people sidle up to us and tell us that was their favourite bike of the show. There’s another stunning Brit on the centrespread in the shape of Longwood Customs’ 1960s-inspired Triumph Bonneville drag bike, while elsewhere we go American, European and Japanese with Steve’s quick and gnarly Harley Shovelhead, Tim’s Mad-with-a-capital-M Honda Fireblade, Rick’s redesigned police BMW R80, Matt’s stunning little Sporty from Rolling Art Motorcycles, the latest incarnation of Polish inkslinger, The Recidivist, and a CB500 bought and built to race.

It may be cold, but we’re still out there bringing you the best of events coverage with Spat Out of Hull, Santa’s On A Bike, Alde Classics, Mutt Motorcycles’ Open Day, the Brighton Motor Show, Custombike, Buster Lang’s, Gravesend MCC’s Bike Show and Millennium BC’s Halloween Party. And, of course, there’s also the usual good stuff, news, reviews and how-to-dos!
