100% Biker Issue 252
It’s the 22nd letter of the alphabet, it’s the symbol for vanadium and it’s worth three points in Scrabble, but to many of us, ‘V’ means the engine, whether in V-twin or V-4 configuration (or even, if you recall DKW and Honda race bikes, a V-3). What all of our feature bikes in #252 have in common is they all celebrate the mighty Vee.
On the cover is Patsy McArdle’s Ruby Harley-Davidson, a work of love that’s constantly evolving, while inside we bring you Dan’s Honda VLX600, a Yamaha Dragstar from Bristol Bobbers, a Harley all the way from Kuwait, Steve’s mad-as-your-hat Yamaha V-Max hardtail chop and a fabulous racing bike featuring a 1913 ohv V-twin. (Yes, Crocker and Harley were beaten to the ohv punch by a couple of decades!) Odgie cracks on with his Piledriver project while we’ve been on the drag strip at Dragstalgia, on an airfield at The Trip Out, in city centres at the Durham Custom & Classic Show and the Birmingham MCC Custom Show, on the sea front with the EHAAT Run, in a gorge at NCC North Somerset’s Custom Show and in Britain’s weirdest village at Classics at the Pavilion. It’s a veritable, victorious and vivacious volume of V-ness!
